Abstract:

The article discusses the evolution of pension systems worldwide, and facts on introducing the funded pension system in the Republic of Armenia. The author analyzes how defined-contributions of participants of the funded pension system entrusted to two certified mandatory pension fund managers are managed. The author assesses how the assets of the only certified investment and voluntary pension fund manager are managed. The article identifies the characteristics of state regulation in implementing the pension system reforms. The author states that the introduced funded pension system is associated with several risks that require constant supervision and management.
