Abstract:

Quito a nubmer of works publishcd within the last decadcs both in this country and abroad havc becn dcdicated to exploring the issues of the origination of the Turkish bourgeois-nalionalistic ideology. The conceptual statements advaneed in these rcsearch works nced to be specified, revised and even rcappraised. This is extremaly important sinee many of these statements having been introdueed into the scholarly circulation became a sort of "historiographic stereotypes". Thcir revision will enable a fuller and more multi-lateral characterization of the idcological currcnts in the present-day Turkey.
