Abstract:

In summcr 1982 Israel invaded Lebanon for annihilating the miHtanl and political structnres of Palcstinian Liberation Organization bascd in that country. Egypt being isolatcd in the Arab world bccausc of the Egypt-Isracl pcacc treat signcd in 1979, as а rcsult of his effectivc position toward the aggression, could restore his previous political role in the Arab l'amily. Cairo condcmned the actions of Israel in Lebanon and the expansionistic policy of Tel-Aviv.
