Abstract:

In the scientific Iilcrature it was long since noticed the possible theoeratic characler of the Urartian State. The offered paper is a preliminary Promulgation of the author's reflcctions, a discussion about one of the individual points of the Urartian theoeraey. In this system, the supreme God of the State pantheon - the God Haldi was pereeived also as Lcadcr of the Sccular life, as a King. The "kings" of Urartu known from the cuneiform sources were, first of all, worshipers of Haldi, supreme priests, king's servants and keepers of Haldi's State. Their "Royal" power was a Service, they came on the "patemal place" (throne) to serve the King.
