Շվոտը հայ ժողովրդական սնահավատական զրույցներում

В армянских народных суеверных рассказах наиболее часто встречающимся духом является швот. Это календарный дух, главным образом рассматриваемый в контексте праздника Трндез и, в частности, Нового года. Согласно народным представлениям, швоты–незримые духи, в зимние месяцы поселяющиеся в домах. In the Armenian superstitious stories, the spirit called shvot is common and often mentioned. It is a calendar spirit that is mainly discussed in the context of the Trndez feast, and, in particular, in the context of the New Year. According to the folk notions, shvot spirits spend the winter in peoples’ houses, and in the beginning of spring, the people chase them out from their houses thanks to the special activity – ritual of driving shvot.
