Abstract:

Դարեր շարունակ Վրաստանում տարբեր էթնիկ և կրոնական խմբեր կողք կողքի խաղաղ ապրել են։ Լինելով բազմազգ պետություն, Վրաստանը հետխորհրդային շրջանում չկարողացավ վեր հանել էթնիկ փոքրամասնությունների շահերը, չնայած որ երկրում զարգացող գործընթացներին զուգահեռ ավելի ու ավելի էր անհրաժեշտ դառնում նրանց խնդիրների համապարփակ ուսումնասիրումն ու գնահատումը:
The article presents the years of post-Soviet governance of Georgia. As a multi-ethnic state with a large number of ethnic minorities, Georgia has not yet been able to meet the needs of the latter. Despite good-neighbourly relations between Georgians and national minorities, their integration into Georgian social and political life is not complete even today. In theory, the state continues to support ethnic minorities, but in reality this is more symbolic than practical.
