The article cxamincs the Turkish-American relalionship in respect of developments around the Armenian Queslion during the Kemalian Movement in Turkcy. It poinls out that as early as in the spring of 1917, the US, after it becamc engaged in the World War, started to display much of an interest in the "Ncar East" Problems, including, among others, the Armenian Qucstion. US President Woodrow Wilson, when he pubhshed his famous "14 Poinls" also known as the Wilson Peace Plan, referred also to the Armenian Qucstion, which hc viewed from a slandpoinl of crcaling the new world order.
