Abstract:

The purer deals with lhe stalus оГ Arabian language in Syrian vilayels of Ottoman limpirc in lhe period оГ Young Türks. Afler the revolulion of 1908 several Arahian disiricls raised the qucstion of decentralization of Arabian vilayels, at the same time dealing with the matter of devclopmenl of the stalus of Arabian language. The matter of the language has an imporlanl place in lhc plans and dccision of Arabian organi/alions. Bul the Young Türks continucd their policy of assimilation of nonturkish as well as arabian population, limiling and making pressure on the Arabian language.
