Abstract:

Western Armenian medical terms are of great interest today from both a medical and linguistic point of view. From a linguistic point of view, the issues of rapprochement, mutual enrichment and interpenetration of the two linguistic states of the Armenian language – Western Armenian and Eastern Armenian – are very relevant. In this context, terms, especially medical ones, can also play an important role in bringing these two linguistic states closer together. The purpose of this work is to examine a rather rich layer of medical terms – Western Armenian medical terms, the history of the replenishment and enrichment of which is little studied and is of great scientific interest. This work by N. Taghavarian, published in 1901, is if not the first, then one of the first, where the author presents Western Armenian medical terms, relying on internationally recognized Greco-Latin medical terms translated from French. In subsequent periods, the work on terminology creation continues, as a result of which in both branches we have a rather rich terminology, which is of great scientific interest and the parallel study of which has become the subject of linguistic research. In this regard, we consider it necessary to conduct a parallel study of the terms in this work, to identify the similarities and differences of the terms existing in two linguistic states, according to word-formation, semantic and functional features, remaining only within the framework of the terms included in the "Dictionary". At the same time, striving to reveal the possibilities of promoting the development and mutual enrichment of professional vocabulary, to give an idea of the history of the development of the Western Armenian terminological layer.
Западно- армянские медицинские термины представляют сегодня большой интерес как с медицинской, так и с лингвистической точки зрения. С лингвистической точки зрения весьма актуальны вопросы взаимообогащения и взаимопроникновения двух ветвей армянского языка- западноармянского и восточноармянского. В этом контексте термины, особенно медицинские, также могут играть важную роль в сближении двух ветвей. Целью данной работы является рассмотрение довольно богатого пласта медицинских терминов- западноармянских медицинских терминов, история пополнения и обогащения которых мало изучена и представляет большой научный интерес. Данная работа Н. Тагаваряна, опубликованная в 1901 году, является если не первой, то одной из первых, где автор представляет западноармянские медицинские термины, опираясь на международно признанные греко-латинские медицинские термины, переведенные с французского языка. В последующие годы работы по терминотворчеству продолжаются, в результате чего в обеих ветвях мы имеем довольно богатую терминологию, представляющую большой научный интерес и параллельное изучение которой стало предметом лингвистических исследований. В связи с этим мы считаем необходимым провести параллельное изучение терминов в данной работе, выявить сходства и различия терминов, существующих в двух ветвях, по словообразовательным, семантическим и функциональным признакам, оставаясь лишь в рамках терминов, включённых в "Словарь". Одновременно, стремясь раскрыть возможности содействия развитию и взаимообогащению профессионального словарного запаса, дать представление об истории развития западноармянского терминологического пласта.
