Abstract:

Hizballah is religious and political movement, which was bom of terrorism in the 1980s, developed guerrilla warfare eapabilities in the 1990s. and by the beginning of the new millcnnium, had matured into an important Middle East Strategie player, eapabte of inllucncing lhc course of pcace and war in lhc region. At the organizational level, Hizballah has evolved significantly from a loosc, mysterious umbrclla group under lhc guidance of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomcini of Iran, to a movement collcciivcly led by various shaykhs and warlords, to a well-knil, diseiplined Organization under lhe guidancc of its own chnrismatic leader, Hassan Nasrallah.
