Abstract:

We investigate the Wightman function and the vacuum expectation values of the field squared and energy-momentum tensor for a massive scalar field with general curvature coupling outside a spherical bubble in Minkowski spacetime. The geometry inside the bubble corresponds to a space with constant negative curvature. The asymptotic behavior of the expectation values is studied for small values of the bubble radius and at large distances.
