Ադրիանապոլսի Ավետարանը , որ գտնվում է Վենետիկում՝ Մխիթարյան միաբանությունում, պատկանում է հայկական բյուզանդամետ ձեռագրերի շարքին: Ավետարանը հետաքրքիր է նվիրատվական բնույթի մի մանրանկարով, որտեղ պատվիրատուն՝ Հովհաննեսն իր Ավետարանն է ընծայում Տիրամորը. Ավետարանի մանրանկարների բյուզանդամետ լինելը, անդրադարձը բյուզանդական պատկերագրությանը, պատահական բնույթ չի կրում, մանավանդ, ինչպես գիտենք, հայկական գեղանկարչությունը ոճական այլ ուղղվածություն է ունեցել։ One of the Armenian illustrated manuscripts that was not sufficiently studied is the Gospel of Adrianople. It is kept in Mekhitarist congregation in Venice. In the manuscript we can see eight tables of concordance, two portraits of evangelists, the Mother of God with Christ and the donator.The Gospel of Adrianople is one of those manuscripts which has the traits typical of the codexes.At the same time the characteristic feature of the manuscript is that its style is close to the Byzantine models and belongs to the so-called "byzantic" group.
