Abstract:

Данная статья посвящена изучению структурных и прагматических особенностей эллиптических предложений в английском языке и методам сохранения этих значений в армянском. В статье сравниваются эллиптические структуры на примерах из английской литературы и их армянский перевод в соответствии со структурными и функциональными особенностями данных предложений. Нами рассматривается адекватность перевода с использованием методов перевода. Анализ эллиптических конструкций показал, что на структурном уровне грамматические конструкции сохранились в нескольких случаях, в то время как на семантическом уровне прагматические значения сохранились в большинстве случаев.The aim of this article is to analyze the structural and pragmatic characteristics of elliptical sentences of English and the means of preserving those features in Armenian translations. In the article elliptical sentences from English literature and the corresponding Armenian translations are juxtaposed according to the structural and pragmatic characteristics of these sentences. The equivalency of these selected extracts have been considered according to different types of translation. It can be concluded that only in a small number of cases the clichés of the elliptical sentences on the structural level are preserved whereas the texts have semantically and pragmatically retained their inherent communicative value.
