Abstract:

Данная статья посвящена анализу понятийной стороны концепта “свобода”. Английские и армянские дефиниции содержат как общие, так и отличительные признаки. В английских словарях рассматриваемый концепт объясняется более детально, чем в армянских. Сравнительный анализ семантического поля концепта “свобода” показывает, что семантические ряды, формирующие семантическое поле концепта “свобода”, содержат отличительные признаки, характерные для исследуемых языков. The present article dwells on the definitional analysis of the concept “freedom” in English and Armenian, as well as probes into the study of the semantic field of the above-mentioned concept with the aim of revealing the semantic and structural peculiarities of the concept in question. The study of synonymic rows helps to disclose different nuances of meaning which determine specific national perception of the world picture. Thus, the analysis of the semantic field of the concept under study in English and Armenian has revealed some peculiarities which are specific for one language solely.
