Հոդվածում Հարավային Կովկասի պետությունների օրինակով ուսումնասիրվել է պետության ռազմական հզորության հիմնախնդիրը, զորահավաքային ներուժի կարևորությունն ու ազդեցությունը ռազմական հզորության դրսևորման և պետության առաջ ծառացած անվտանգային խնդիրների լուծման տեսանկյունից։ Այդ նպատակով նախ վերլուծվել ու ներկայացվել են պետության ռազմական հզորության բնորոշման ու գնահատման տարբեր մոտեցումներ, ապա առաջարկվել է գնահատման նոր մեթոդաբանություն, որի օգնությամբ էլ գնահատվել և համեմատվել են Հարավկովկասյան պետությունների ռազմական հզորությունները։
The article examines the issue of state military power, the impact and significance of mobilization potential in terms of the deployment of military power and the solution of the security problems facing the state, drawing upon the example of the South Caucasus states. To this end, the article first analyzes and presents different approaches to the definition and assessment of state military power, further it proposes a new methodology of assessment used to assess and compare the military capabilities of the South Caucasian states. The issue of Armenia is considered in more details from the point of view of realizing the mobilization potential, taking into account the new realities of the Armenian-Azerbaijani war. The peculiarities of the mobilization process in Armenia are discussed in 12 interrelated directions: legal powers, finances, environment, transport, human resources, financial means and facilities, buildings, production base, educational base, health care services, telecommunications, allies support.
