Abstract:

На основе изучения архивных материалов в статье выявлены предпосылки развития атомной энергетики Армении. Показана значимость энергетического комплекса Армении в развитии Объединенных электроэнергетических сетей (ОЭС) Закавказья с 1960-х годов вплоть до развала СССР. Проанализирована роль атомной станции в становлении Армении в качестве энергоизбыточного государства. Указаны причины энергетического кризиса в Республике Армения начала 1990-х годов, в частности, предпосылки закрытия и повторного запуска станции. Посредством изучения электроэнергетического рынка Южного Кавказа с определением экспортных возможностей Армении установлены основные геополитические проблемы эксплуатации Армянской АЭС. Рассмотрены основные проблемы поставок ядерного топлива на Армянскую АЭС. Даны рекомендации по долгосрочному развитию атомной энергетики в Армении.
The article indicates the prerequisites for the development of Armenia's nuclear power industry through the study of archival materials. It shows the significance of Armenia's energy complex in the development of the united electric power networks of the South Caucasus from the 1960s up to the collapse of the USSR. The article also analyzes the role of the nuclear power station in the establishment of Armenia as an energy surplus state. It further provides the general description of the energy crisis of the Republic of Armenia in the early 1990s, focusing, in particular, on the reasons for the closure and restart of the station. The main geopolitical problems of operation of the Armenian NPP are revealed through studying the electric power market of the South Caucasus with the definition of the export opportunities of Armenia. The article also studies the main problems of nuclear fuel supplies to the Armenian NPP concluding by the recommendations regarding the long-term development of nuclear energy in Armenia.
