Abstract:

The paper presents the general characteristics of the energy system of the Republic of Armenia, including the main existing challenges, development prospects, and directions. The shares of different types of renewable energy in the total energy resources, the possibilities of their use, and the factors promoting and hindering the development of this sector are presented in detail. The advantages of autonomous, multifunctional, hybrid systems and their development prospects are clarified.
