Abstract:

In the result of the revolts in the regions of Beyuq Vedi and Sharour-Nakhichevan during the summer of 1919 Armenia lost control over a vast territory from Ghamarlu to Ordubad. Meantime Azerbaijani Government signed an agreement with the Karabagh National Council, thus spreading its power to the borders of Zangezur district. In such auspicious political conditions Baku resumed the attempts to seize besieged Zangezur by means of force. In November Azerbaijani regulär forces attacked the district, but they failed.
