1920 թ. օգոստոսի 10-ին Փարիզի Սևր արվարձանում Անտանտի հաղթանակած տերությունների ու Օսմանյան կայսրության միջև կնքված Սևրի պայմանագիրը հայ պատմագրության և հասարակական-քաղաքական մտքի կողմից քննարկվել է գերազանցապես Հայաստանին ուղղակի վերաբերող 88– 93-րդ հոդվածների շրջանակներում, որոնցով ամրագրվում էր հայկական անկախ պետության ընդարձակումն Արևմտյան Հայաստանի՝ Էրզրումի, Վանի ու Բիթլիսի նահանգների տարածքների մեծ մասի, ինչպես նաև՝ Տրապիզոնի նահանգի մեկ երրորդի հաշվին՝ այդպիսով ելք ապահովելով դեպի Սև ծով: The Treaty of Sèvres, signed between the victorious Entente powers and the Ottoman Empire on August 10, 1920 in the Sèvres suburb of Paris, has been discussed by the Armenian historiographical, socio-political thought within the framework of Articles 88-93 mainly concerning Armenia which fixed the expansion of the independent Armenian state over Western Armenia – most of the territories of Erzurum, Van and Bitlis provinces, as well as a third of the province of Trabzon, thus providing access to the Black Sea. Meanwhile, in addition to these articles, the Treaty of Sèvres indirectly contains a number of important articles on the restoration of the violated rights of the non-Turkish population of the Ottoman Empire, including the Armenians.
