In this work, graphen oxide coating on the AISI304 stainless steel is used to study the corrosion resistance of the AISI stainless steel in NaCl solution with 3.5% concentration. Humers method was used for production of Graphen oxide and its formation was tested by Raman spectroscopy. Electrochemical Impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and Polarization tests were carried out for corrosion inhibition of the produced samples. Results revealed that coating of graphen oxide on stainless steel greatly improves its corrosion resistance. Surface morphology of the samples after corrosion test was examined by scanning electron microscope analysis. The equivalent circuit for the coated sample was obtained, using the EIS data.
