В статье дается оценка творчеству композитора, а также его роли в сохранении, развитии, распространении армянской музыкальной культуры. В течении всей жизни Барсег Каначян оставался преданным делу Комитаса, армянскому духу, самому себе. This article is devoted to the west-Armenian composer, conductor, and educator Barsegh Kanachyan. Here, Anna Harutyunyan & Vardan Galstyan present the significance of the composer’s art and Kanachyan’s role in preserving, enhancing and advocating Armenian music. He remained faithful to the music of Komitas, to the Armenian spirit and to himself all through his long life.
