После 387 года иберийцы попытались противостоять Сасанидам благодаря поддержке армян, поскольку грузинские нахарары почти всегда враждовали друг с другом, а грузинская церковь не играла такой консолидирующей роли для грузинского народа, какую играла армянская церковь. After 387, the Georgians tried to confront the Sassanian suppression with the support of the Armenians as the Georgian nakharars always were antagonistic to each other and the Georgian church in contrast to the Armenian church did not possess the power of unifying the Georgian people.
