Abstract:

В статье подвергнута историко-критическому анализу книга всемирно известного норвежского общественного деятеля и ученого Фритьефа Нансена "Армения и Ближний Восток", опубликованная после посещения автором Армении в 1925г. Показано, что книга содержит ценный материал об исторической судьбе армянского народа и, в частности, о Геноциде западных армян в 1915-1916 годах, а также об их героической самообороне. In the book of the famous Norwegian public man and scientist Fridtjof Nansen "Armenia and the Near East" is subjected to historical criticism in this article which was published after the author’s visit to Armenia in 1925. It is shown that the book contains a valuable material on historical destiny of the Armenian people and in particular it is about the genocide of Western Armenians in 1915-1916, about their self-defense.
