Abstract:

Армяне приняли самое активное участие в Первой мировой войне.Широкий размах добровольческого движения возглавляли видные деятели армянского национально-освободительного движения Андраник, Дро, Кери, Амазасп, Вардан, князь Аргутинский. Добровольческие дружины (всего их было 7) приняли активное участие в боевых действиях на Кавказском фронте, оказали существенную помощь русской армии в деле освобождения Западной Армении. Armenians have taken a most active part in World War I. The wide scope of the volunteer movement was led by prominent figures of the Armenian national-liberation movement: Andranik, Kery, Hamazasp, Vardan, prince Argutinski. The volunteer squads (7 in number) took active part in military actions at the Caucasian front, rendered vital assistance to the Russian army during the liberation of Western Armenia.
