Հոդվածը նվիրված է հ.-ե. *(s)u̯(e)- «կտրել, ծակել» պարզական արմատից անմիջականորեն սերված մի շարք այնպիսի բառերի կամ արմատների ստուգաբանությանը, որոնք գրային հայերենում սկսվում են վ-, գ- կամ աւ- հնչյուն(ներ)ով։
The article is devoted to the etymology of a number of Armenian words or roots that derived from the PIE root *(s)u̯(e) - “to cut, to pierse” and in written Armenian begin with the sound(s) վ-, գ- or աւ-.
Статья посвящена этимологии ряда армянских слов или корней, которые возникли от ПИЕ корня *(s)u̯(e)- «резать, колоть» и в письменном армянском языке начинаются со звука (звуков) վ-, գ- или աւ-.
