Abstract:

В традиционной и современной армянской свадьбе крестный отец – кум руководит всем обрядовым комплексом и играет важную роль, и поныне имея определенную функцию как в предсвадебной, так и в свадебной и послесвадебной обрядности. Он руководил обрядами резания быка, бритья жениха, одевания жениха и невесты, повязания пояса жениху, сватания, венчания, брачной ночи. Присутствие крестного отца обязательно во время венчания в качестве официального свидетеля во время церковных обрядов. In the traditional as well as in the contemporary Armenian wedding ceremony the godfather manages the whole ritual complex. He plays an important role and has maintained a certain function in the ceremonies of wedding as well as those preceding and following wedding up to now. He supervised the ceremonies of “bull slaughtering”, shaving the bridegroom, dressing the bridegroom and the bride, knotting the belt to the bridegroom, marriage seeking rite, matrimony, connubial night. The godfather’s presence is obligatory during the matrimony as an official witness of the church ceremonies.
