Abstract:

В X–XIV вв. в армянской культуре действительно существовало Возрождение. Оно имело свою внутренную логику и стадии развития: IX–X вв.– довозрождение; X–XII вв.– раннее возрождение; XIII–XIV вв.– Возрождение. Армянские и зарубежные ученые, создавшие и использовавшие эту теорию, систематизировали особенности армянского Возрождения, связывая его начало с разносторонними новшествами в произведениях Григора Нарекаци. This article deals with an essential problem of Armenian medievalism–the period of Armenian Renaissance and the revelations of the peculiarities of its development in a new way. Disproving the approaches of the scholars who reject that theory, the author shows that the 10th-14th centuries have really been regenerating in Armenian culture. Our Renaissance has had its inner logic and stages of development: the 9th-10th centuries as pre-Renaissance, the 10th-12th centuries–early Renaissance, and the 13th-14th centuries as Renaissance. Armenian and foreign scholars who have developed and circulated the theory, have systematized the peculiarities of Armenian Renaissance relating to its origin in the works of Grigor Narekatsi and various novelties he has brought.
