Abstract:

1908թ. գալով իշխանության «Իթթիհատ» կուսակցությունը ձեռնարկեց Օսմանյան Թուրքիայի ազատականացման գործընթացը, ձգտելով միաժամանակ Հայկական հարցն արտաքին քաղաքական հիմնախնդրից դարձնել ներպետական հիմնախնղիր: Մշակվեց հայերի ոչնչացման համակարգված ծրագիր, որ մասամբ իրականացավ 1909թ. գարնանն Ադանայի դեպքերի ժամանակ: Coming into power in 1908 the Ittihat party started the process of liberalization of Ottoman Turkey trying, at the same time to transform the Armenian Question from external political issue into an internal issue of Turkey. A complete program of exterminating Armenian population was drawn up, which was partly implemented in spring in Adana. The Young Turks carried out reforms under the comparatively stable conditions, which led to the collapse of the basis of multinational Ottoman Empire, and they had to stop implementing the great part of the reforms.
