Abstract:

3 февраля 1894 года епископ Геворг Суренянц был назначен предводителем Грузинской и Имеретинской епархии Армянской Апостольской Церкви. На момент назначения епископа в епархии существовало множество нерешенных вопросов. С 1894 года епископ начинает реформаторскую деятельность в епархии. В статье представлены «Правила» Геворга Суренянца (1895 г.), особенно предназначенные для духовный уполномоченнов и викарий. Выбор этих двух категорий не был случайным: через благочинных осуществлялся контроль над всей деятельностью духовенства, а ерецпохи вели хозяйственную жизнь епархии. Правила подтверждают или устанавливают права и обязанности двух сословий, в том числе: добросовестное выполнение духовных обязанностей, последовательность в церковных обрядах, своевременное и надлежащее выполнение церковной документации и другие. С помощью анализа материалов, содержащихся в «Правила», была предпринята попытка представить общую картину проблем, озвученных новым архиереем, цель которого заключалась в установлении внутреннего порядка в епархии.
On February 3, 1894, Archbishop Gevorg Surenyanc was appointed as the head of the Georgian and Imeretian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church. At the time of the bishop's appointment, there were numerous unresolved issues in the diocese. Starting in 1894, the bishop began reform activities in the diocese. The article presents the “Rules” of Gevorg Surenyants (1895), specifically intended for spiritual agents and economic administrator (yerecpokh). The choice of these two categories was not accidental: spiritual agents were responsible for overseeing the entire activity of the clergy, while yerecpokhs managed the economic affairs of the diocese. “Rules” reaffirm or establish the rights and responsibilities of the two classes, including: the conscientious fulfillment of spiritual duties, consistency in church rituals, timely and proper completion of church documentation and others. Through analyzing the materials contained in canons, an attempt was made to provide a general overview of the problems raised by the newly appointed bishop, whose goal was to establish internal order in the diocese.
