С 1899 г. газета "Дрошак" издавала армянские переводы ряда произведений зарубежных авторов, таких как "Кицо" Амилкара Чиприани, "Матео Фальконе" П. Мериме, "Песня о Соколе" М. Горького, "Молодой солдат" Ламенне, а также статей Клемансо, Пьера Кийар, Пресансе, опубликованных в журнале "Про Армения", издававшемся во Франции. Эти произведения были созвучны идеологии национально-освободительной борьбы и отражали множество проблем, актуальных для армянского народа. In 1899 the editorial office of “Droshak” newspaper publishes translations of some works by foreign writers such as “Kicio” by Amilcar Cipriani, “Mateo Falcone” by P. Mérimée, “Song of a Falcon” by M. Gorki, “Young Soldier” by Lamennais, as well as some articles by Clemenceau, P. Quillard, Pressensé that were being published in “Pro Armenia” journal in France. The content of these works was consistent with the ideology of the national liberation struggles, reflecting many issues that the Armenians were facing and keeping informed about the point of view of European intellectuals supporting Armenians in this struggle.
