Abstract:

Исследования, посвященные Армянской диаспоре, хотя и отражают историю, организацию и структуру диаспоры, но не содержат теоретических положений о диаспоре, тем более направлениях еë развития. С целью восполнения этого пробела нами выделены следующие группы теорий диаспоры: родиноцентричные теории, теории, рассматривающие диаспору как самостоятельную единицу, и родиноотвергающие теории. Research on the Armenian Diaspora includes history, studies of diasporic organizations and institutions, literature and language of the Diaspora, as well as problems encountered by its members. However, it does not reflect theoretical aspects and development trends. The present paper seeks to fill this gap and introduce major definitions and theories about the diaspora used in Western literature. Based on the concept of homeland in defining diaspora, the author distinguishes between homeland-centered theories, theories that view diaspora as an independent unit, and homeland-denying theories.
