Abstract:

В ходе образования армянской диаспоры в 20-х годах XX в. стало необходимым объединение всех представителей интеллигенции,независимо от их партийной принадлежности, с целью сохранения национального облика на чужбине. Важным событием в этом направлении стало основание в 1928 г. «Общенационального союза образования и издательского дела» в Каире. Одними из инициаторов этого общества были Левон Шант и известный уже тогда режиссер Гаспар Ипекян. In the course of forming the Armenian Diaspora in the 20s of the XX century had become expedient to unite all representatives of the intellectual class independent of their party affilation, in order to retain the national image abroad. An important event in this direction was the founding in 1928 of the „Nation-Wide Union of Education and Publishing Affairs" in Cairo. Among the initiators of this association were Levon Shant and Gaspar Ipekian, a theatrical director who had already gained popularity.
