Ալեքսանդրապոլի գավառը Արևմտյան Հայաստանի ժողովրդագրական գործընթացների համատեքստում (XIX դ. առաջին կես)

В первой половине XIX в. из разных пашалыков Западной Армении тремя этапами переселилось и обосновалось на территории нынешних областей Ширак и Лори около 8700 семей. Продолжавшаяся около пяти десятилетий иммиграция прежде всего дала возможность до первой половины XIX в. уберечь регион от окончательного опустошения, после чего, восстановив прежний армянский демографический образ населения северной части Восточной Армении, превратила новосозданный Александропольский уезд в очаг консолидации нации. In the first half of the 19th century, approximately 8700 families from different pashalics of Western Armenia with three stages migrated and settled down in the territory of present Lori and Shirak regions. Immigration, having been continued for nearly five decades, first of all , gave opportunity to keep the region away from final desolation till the first half of the 19th century, and then it also restored the demographic picture of the population living in the northern segment of Eastern Armenia turning the newly-created Alexandropol province into a centre of consolidation of the nation.
