Abstract:

В VI-IV вв. до н. э. сатрапская Армения являлась одной из крупных и богатых частей Ахеменидского Ирана. Разностороннее изучение древних источников создает возможность для историко-географических уточнений, определения ее западных и южных границ. XIII сатрапия не являлась стойкой административной единицей. Если в середине V в. до н. э. Пактиике-Кесария, черноморские владения вышли из состава сатрапии, то до падения Ахеменидской империи граница на юге оставалась почти неизменной.Satrapic Armenia was one of the largest and richest parts of the Achaemenian Iran in the 6th-4th centuries В. C. The comprehensive investigation of the ancient sources gives a chance to make historical-geographical accurate definitions, clarification of its western and southern boundaries. The 13th Satrapy wasn't a stable administrative unit. If in the middle of the 5th cent.B.C. Pactyica-Caesarea, the domains of the Black Sea came out of the structure of the Satrapy,then the boundary remained nearly unchanged in the south till the fall of the Achaemenian Empire.
