Abstract:

The present article analyzes different functions of the German modal particle schon in different clauses and their various equivalents in Armenian. There is no unanimous definition for the meaning for the usage of each German modal particles, since their meaning clearly differs from the meaning which is so characteristic of other parts of speech, as it is more general and more abstract. The meaning of modal particles mainly depends on, how they are actualised in the clause.
