Abstract:
There are many hypothesizes of the exact time of the uighurs' origin as a separate ethnic group, however it is clear that uighurs are an ancient ethnos which has survived till the present. The Uighur history, as well as their ethnic origin, have been the subject of debate between the Uyghur nationalists and Chinese authorities. The Uighurs established many states and state unions throughout their history, the largest and most famous of which was the Uighur Khaganate. However, after the Mongol empire spread its influence on the entire region, the Uighurs came under Chinese, and then the Mongol empire’s control. The Uighurs played an important role and put impact on both the domestic and foreign expansionary policies of the Mongol Empire.
Существует множество точек зрения относительно точного времени появления уйгуров как отдельной этнической группы, но ни у кого нет сомнений в том, что уйгуры - древнейший этнос, дошедший до наших дней. История уйгурского народа, как и этническое происхождение народа, является предметом спора между уйгурскими националистами и властью Китая. Уйгуры в своей истории основали множество государств, из которых самым известным и большим являлся Уйгурский каганат. Однако после появления Монгольской империи на мировой арене, уйгуры сначала стали частью Китая, а затем самой Монгольской империи. Уйгуры играли важную роль во внутренней и внешней экспансионистской политике Монгольской империи.
