The current article for the first time deals with the study of the fablewriting of the famous Armenian prose- writer of the second half of the XX century Hovhannes Ghukasyann. The correlations between his fable-writing, the Armenian folk lore and that of the medieval Armenian fabulists are presented in the article by separate examples. The conclusion of the article: The famous prose-writer Hovhannes Ghukasyan also wrote fables, but in this regard he was greatly inferior to our fabulists, who were the initiators and unique innovators in the field of this genre. Both his poems and fables were merely preparation for his noteworthy prose to come into world.
В статье впервые делается попытка исследования наследия знаменитого баснописца 20-ого века Ованеса Гукасяна. Отдельными примерами представлены связи его басен с армянским фольклором и средневковым армянским баснописанием. В басенном жанре Ованес Гукасян во многом уступает великим армянским баснописцам, пропагандистам данного жанра в армянской литературе. Написанные им стихотворения, также как и басни, подготовили появление заслуживающей пристального внимания прозы Ованеса Гукасяна.
