Рассказы о «стране мрака» в разные эпохи имели широкое хождение среди многих народов. «Страну мрака» Хетум локализует в Грузии, в области Амшен. «Խավարի երկրի» մասին պատմությունները տարբեր ժամանակաշրջաններում լայն տարածում էին ստանում բազմաթիվ ժողովուրդների մեջ: Հեթում Պատմիչը «խավարի երկիրը» տեղակայում է Վրաստանում՝ Համշեն գավառում: The tales about “the land of darkness” were widely spread among many peoples in different epochs. The aim of the present article is to study this motive in “The Flower of the Stories of the Orient” (“La Flor des Estoires de la Terre d’Orient”) by Hetoum Patmich (Hetoum, the Historian). Hetoum places “the land of darkness” in the province of Hamshen in Georgia.
