The brief history of Russsian freemasonary from XVIIIth century to the first quarter of XlXth is presented in the article. There is a reflection on social-political currents occurred in Russia at the beginning of XlXth century, especially on Decembristic movement. The attempt was made to show the ideological \and organizational impact o f Masonic organizations on Decembristic movement. There are represented as briefly as possible about the disccussed issue's more or less historical-scientific value representing the periods of pre-Soviet and post-Soviet authors' works.
