The article examines how modern Armenian prose reflects early 21 st century socio - cultural, economic and national realities in the Republic of Armenia. Through a thorough study of the prose of Diana Hambardzumyan, Vagharshak Madoyan, Artashes Matevosyan, Karine Rafaelyan and Geghetsik Margaryan the author paints a relatively panoramic picture of current Armenian reality, underlining a number of painful pr oblems that urgently require addressing. In the context of complex historical, political, and social upheavals, these authors focus on the individual. Indeed, the citizen lives, creates, and develops his homeland, but he is left face to face with his difficulties and with no support. The heroes are individuals who expect the attention of the state and that the latter notices their existence and values th em. The issue of Armenia's future and its upward trajectory require overcoming prevailing delusions and addressing mistakes. The article stresses that love of the homeland, nature, mother and family, and humanity in general are seen by these contemporary authors as the most powerful forces that withstand difficulties and keep the citizen standing.
