Լրագրության տեսաբանները կոնվերգենտ լրագրության զարգացումն առնչում են համացանցի ի հայտ գալուն և տեղեկատվության թվայնացմանը: Կոմերցիոն համացանցը Հայաստանում գործում է 1992 թվականից, սակայն առաջին էլեկտրոնային ԶԼՄ-ները մեր երկրում սկսեցին գործել 2000-ականներին: The theorists try to find the link between the development of convergence journalism and advent of the Internet, as well as digitization of information. The commercial Internet appeared in Armenia in 1992, however the first electronic media outlets came to Armenia only in 2000-s.
