Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the analysis of the marginal character in the novel “The Brook Kerith. a Syrian story” by famous English writer George Moore It particularly turns to the character of Jesus the contradiction in whose thoughts and deeds reveals the vivid features of marginalism. It is noteworthy, that maybe for the first time the theme of Jesus novels is the Savior, who after his resurrection has become a simple man. Besides, the author skillfully depicts the internal duality of Jesus, which turns him into a human and not a divine character.
