In an attempt to better formulate the subject matter and field of Armenian Studies and to better visualize its scope, role and challenges four questions related to the discipline were addressed to three scholars of Armenian Studies, namely Drs. Vartan Madteossian, Garen Matevossian and Ashod Melkonian. This paper is a compilation of the answers given by the above-mentioned scholars to the following questions: a) What type of a definition should Armenian Studies have in the 21st century? b) What is the practical role of Armenian Studies (or) what objectives should Armenian Studies have? c) What are the current challenges of Armenian Studies (methodology, archival research, multidisciplinary approaches, cooperation, etc.)? d) Is cooperation among Armenian Studies Centers important? Why?
