Artefacts with images of heavenly luminaries are numerous. The Urartians decorated their seals, jewelry, furniture and many other things with the above-mentioned images. In iconography, heavenly bodies are generally expressed in a religious context. Together with the heavenly luminaries, mainly deities, companion animals were depicted: lion, horse, ram, bull, goat, antelope, as well as trees of life. All this expresses the mystery of strength, fertility, awakening, and also emphasizes the significant role of heavenly luminaries in the beliefs and ideas of the inhabitants of the Kingdom of Van.
