Շուրջ չորս տասնամյակ դադարից հետո Հայաստանի պատմության թանգարանը վերսկսում է «Աշխատություններ Հայաստանի պատմության թանգարանի» պարբերականի հրատարակությունը։ Աշխատության հերթական՝ 8-րդ համարում ներկայացված են ՀՊԹ-ի կազմակերպած ՀՀ անկախության 30 ամյակին նվիրված հանրապետական գիտաժողովի զեկուցումների նյութերը, որոնք վերաբերում են թանգարանագիտությանը, մշակութաբանությանը, Հայաստանի հնագիտությանը, ազգագրությանը, նոր և նորագույն շրջանի պատմությանը։

Among the acquisitions of the HMA over the past 30 years, the personal archive of theCommunistic leader of Armenia Anton Kochinyan presents a particular importance.The Armenians of Artsakh didn’t accept the annexation of their historical territories byAzerbaijan and the anti-Armenian policy. As a result of Khrushchev’s freedoms nationallife began to revive. 1965 marked the 50th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.This archive helped us to comment newly the historical events of 1920–21, the nationalawakening of the internal Armenian developments in 1965–66, the events following thecollapse of the USSR, the war in Artsakh. It becomes clear how the political decisions ofthose times led to the current situation. Из приобретений Музей истории Армени за последние 30 лет особую важность представляет личный архив первого секретаря ЦК КП Армении (1966 – 1974 гг) Антона Кочиняна. Армяне Арцаха не смирились с аннексией их исторических террито рий Азербайджаном и осуществляющейся антиармянской политикой. Вследствии хрущёвской “оттепели” оживилась национальная жизнь. В 1965 г. исполнилось 50 лет геноцида армян. Архив Кочиняна помог по новому прокомментировать исторические события 1920-21 гг., национальнoe пробуждение внутриармянских развитий 1965-66 гг., события последующие развалу СССР, войну в Арцахе. Становится ясно, каким образом политические решения тех времён привели к сегодняшней ситуации, как под прикрытием ложных призывов типа «нерушимой дружбы советских народов» осуществлялась неприемлемая для армян политика. Сегодня, осознавая важность арцахского вопроса и его последствия, мы можем придать многостороннее объяснение архивным документам – заявлениям Нариманова, Сталина, письмам представителей науки и культуры Армянской ССР 23-му съезду КПСС, Л. Брежневу, Ал. Косигину, Як. Заробяну, А. Кочиняну
