ՀՀ ԳԱԱ պատմության ինստիտուտի «Հայոց պատմության հարցեր» գիտական պարբերականի հերթական՝ 2 (25) համարում հրատարակվող հոդվածները սկզբնաղբյուրների, արխիվային նյութերի, մամուլի հրապարակումների, հայրենի և համաշխարհային պատմագիտական գրականության լայն հենքի վրա լույս են սփռում Հայոց հին և միջնադարյան, նոր և նորագույն ժամանակաշրջանների պատմության առանձին հիմնահարցերի վրա:

Гардман является одной из провинций страны Утик Великого Айка, игравшей огромную роль в политической и духовно-культурной жизни армян в средневековый период. Этим обусловлено частое упоминание Гардмана в армянских и иностранных источниках. Однако определенные этапы средне-вековой истории провинции Гардман все еще нуждаются в изучении, в частности, исторический отрезок, охватывающий начало XIII в. вплоть до 40-х годов этого века. До конца XII в. провинция Гардман была под господством Елткузского атабекства Гандзака. Процесс освобождения от чу-жеземного господства охватил начало XIII в. и завершился в 1216/1219 гг. Это стало возможным благодаря освободительной борьбе, которую возглавили Иване I, принадлежавший к старшей ветви Захарянов, и представитель Ваграмянов из младшей ветви Захарянов со своим сыном Ваграмом Гагеци. После этого большая часть Гардмана вошла в княжество Ваграмянов, а его малая часть – в княжество Иване I. Провинция Гардман очень по-страдала, во-первых, из-за разведывательных походов монголов в 20-х гг. XIII в., затем в результате военных действий Джалал ад-Дина. В 1236 г. она была захвачена монголами, но при этом осталась подвластной Ваграмяном и сыну Иване I – Авагу.
Gardman is one of the provinces of Utik region of the Great Hayq that played a big role in political, spiritual-cultural and religious life of Armenia, in the Middle Ages. Due to this, it was often mentioned in Armenian and foreign sources for this reason, Gardman was frequently mentioned in Armenian and foreign sources. However, certain periods of History of Gardman province were studied insufficiently (still need to be studied more thoroughly). One of them is the period between the beginnings of the XIII century till the 1240s. Until the end of the XII century, Gardman province was under control of Yelktuz atabeg of Gandzak. Its liberation from foreign occupatiom started since the very beginning of XIII century and ended in 1216/1219. This was made possible due to the liberation wars (struggle) headed by Ivane I of the Zakaryans’ senior branch and a representative of the Vahramyans’ junior branch of Zakharyans with his son Vahram Gagetsi. After that the most part of Gardman was joined into Vahramyans’, the little part of it into the possession of Ivane the I (thereafter, most of Gardman became part of the Vahramyan’s principality, while a small part of it joined the principality of Ivane I). Gardman province suffered a lot firstly because of the the exploratory invasion of Mongols in 1220s and secondly because of military operations (the war campaigns) led by Jalal ad-Din. It was conquered by Mongols in 1236 but stayed in the dominions of the Vahramyans and Ivane I’s son Avag.
