Abstract:
In the paper the author rejects the proposed identifications of istedi (urart.) = erubit (ass.) and iStedi (urart.) = anaku (ass.) as well, based on the evidences of the parallel texts of the Assyrian-Urartian bilingual inscription of Topuzava. In the first case the Assyrian erubu is a verb while the Urartian istedi has not a profile of a verb. In the second case, it is well-known that against the Assyrian anaku Urartian yields iese. As to istedi (variants: istidi, istiedi), in the Assyrian Version of the inscription of Toթuzava it has not it's correspondance. For that reason, in the paper Urartian iStedi has bcen examined as a Directive Case of the Urartian istini - "here". In the inscriptions describing military campaigns the form of istedi means the conquered lands, but in the Royal titulary - the land of Biainili. Besides, the expression erubu anaku ("I entered") of the Assyrian version is compared with disregarded aidubi of the parallel Urartian texts which needs to be studied later.
