In the period of British occupation as distinct from Mamluk's and Muhammcd Ali's government periods, the British occupants gave more attention to Muslims in State affairs than Copts. This fact rose dissatisfaction among them - organizing Asyut conference in 1911. In spite of some decisions made in Asyut. British government didrn't pay any attention to the demands of Copts. As the result the Copts began more intensively cooperate with anti-British forces of Egypt especially with al-Wafd al- Misri headed by Saad Zaghlul.
