Накануне Геноцида армян организованные по особому плану младотурецкого государства мобилизация и сбор оружия у армянской молодежи, ее массовое истребление и последующее изгнание всего западноармянского населения из родной колыбели, депортация в сирийские пустыни и резня стали причиной самооборонительных сражений в различных местностях страны (Акдаг-Йозгат, Шатах, Ван, Муш, Сасун, Шапи- Карахисар, Муса Даг, Урфа, Мараш, Айнтап, Аджн и др.). The mobilization and the arm-collection of the Armenian youth according to a special plan devised by the Young-Turks government on the eve of the Armenian Genocide and the mass extermination of these youth, followed by the forced exile of the entire Western Armenian population from its native cradle, deportation to the Syrian deserts, its annihilation and holocaust by brutal means impelled the Western Armenians to wage self-defensive struggles for survival in the various localities of the country (Akdagh-Yozghat, Shatakh, Van, Moush, Sassoun, Shapin-Garahissar, Moussa Dagh, Urfa, Marash, Ayntap, Hadjn and other places).
