В армянском народном песнетворчестве не единичны примеры, когда песня, теряя свою функциональную значимость и принадлежность, или наоборот – приобретая новые – из одного жанра переходит в другой. Жанровая “двоякость” присуща некоторым любовно-лирическим песням, которые можно причислить также к свадебным обрядовым песням (восхваление невесты). В таких случаях проникновение интонационных особенностей одного жанра в другой – более чем естественно. Большой интерес представляют комитасовские записи песни “Лорик” (Перепелка), которые являются прекрасным примером армянского народного песнетворчества. The Armenian tradition of songwriting bears numerous examples, where some songs within the course of time losing their functional role and sense or, on the contrary, acquiring new functions move from one genre to another and localize in certain areas. To what degree can a song or a dance be classified to a genre? What structural (melodic, verse) principles are we to be guided with when defining a genre of a song? Duality in genres is typical to some lyrical-love songs. These as well can be related to the string of panegyrics to brides. In such cases, the penetration of typical phrase modulations of one genre into another is regarded as very natural. Komitas’s recordings of Loriks are of interest in this aspect. They represent brilliant examples of Armenian peasant songs.
